NEW 2015 FALL STYLE

Hi fellow fashionistas! ------ have yall seen the new 2015 fall style? I am going to be blunt. I hate it. The fashion world is retrogressing, not in the good way. This style is so 2011. Usually the fashion world has been following the recycled "every 15 year" pattern. For example last season resembled the styles seen on Clueless and other popular 90s tv shows and movies. But this upcoming season is not my favorite. Im down for the occasional 70s flare but full fleshed 70s style is a bigger fad than silly bandz. Not only does this new "trend" resemble 70s motifs but navajo prints are included.

I will admit that there are a few pieces in this new fall collection (Nordstroms) that did catch my eye, and that I will wear eagerly this upcoming fall. But other than that I was not impressed, to be honest I was a tad let down. Although it was time for a new style, my closet was getting tired of the bold, grunge, nyc street syle look, it is time for a change.

MAINSTREAM COMFORT

Hey everyone! So I know I haven't blogged lately...oops. Well today I wanted to talk about how sometimes it is perfectly ok to dress completely mainstream. I don't know about you but sometimes I get crazy inspired when I watch tv. It is likely that the fashion styles that I have spotted are already sold and copied in mainstream stores such as Macy's, American Eagle, Nordstrom etc...I feel good about myself when I wear clothes that have been worn by my favorite TV characters. For example the Pretty Little Liars characters wear clothes that reflect their unique personalities. The confidence that shines through these characters is depicted through their styles. When others/viewers recognize this it is only natural that they want to obtain this similar confidence; the only way us viewers know how to do this is wear their same styles as seen on the show.
This is actually marketing brilliance , of course these TV companies and these large clothing retailers have recognized this fact. They have made a profit off of the desire of confidence of girls and women. Not only do these clothes depict confidence and many other great qualities, but these cothes can also just make you feel simply comfortable. This posts was slightly irrelevant compared to my last post, but this is just something I wanted to write about.

STYLE IS LIFE

Here's my 1st post for ya------
oK so how many of you wake up in the morning and go though your (many) clothes and say you have nothing to wear? you tell youself that you need to go buy yourself some new clothes, then you face the many problems of... "what even is style?", "could i pull this off?", "would i really wear this?". Others of you just pick out a random top and bottom and say "eh, i don't care about fahsion anyways." Well I am here to tell you that fahsion is the art of style, self-expression, and confidence, so basically we are all fashionistsas. So when you go to your closet in the morning to pick out your outfit for the day, remember that it is like painitng on a brand new canvas, fresh, innovative, and original.

Finding your style

hOw do you see yourself as a person? How confident are you with yourself? Throw what everyone else thinks about you out the door, it only matters what you think of yourself. Don't worry about what others may say when you expirement with different styles. When finding your personal style, your main goal should be to portray who you really are and how you want the world to remeber you. Along the way you may discover more about yourself, which is a definite bonus.  You can also find style of your own according to your personality, your taste, your way of life, and the challenges life has thrown at you.

So is style important? Yes, becasue we express our idea of who we are by the clothes we wear. Its an unconcious and unspoken language that we direct at other people. A non-look makes us invisible.  Forced bold-ness frighttens others....or amuses them. If you are feeling uncomortable in a bad outfit, you can wreck your whole day. You have to find your own look. There's no need to knock- yourself out to stand-out; all you need to do is be aware of who you are. So try to find harmony between your clothes and personality. Money and age are not what should focused on, rather a state of mind and an intention.
